Your Grace, Weren’t You Not Supposed to Bite Me?
I came to monitor his blood-drinking, and now it looks like I’m the one about to be bitten.
About
I was told to monitor whether the vampire grand duke drinks human blood.
When I asked if it wasn’t dangerous, they said he had even sworn an oath to the king, so it was safe.
All I had to do was make it through the winter and write one report.
So I came.
To the vampire’s castle—the one who supposedly never bites humans.
“You’re bleeding.”
I had only nicked my fingertip on a document.
But the grand duke’s gaze changed.
The eyes that had been watching my fingertip lowered to my neck.
The three paces he always kept between us had vanished long ago.
“Wait. I’m an inspector, you know.”
He nods as if he already knows.
And comes closer.
This human—no, this vampire.
Has he forgotten what I came here to inspect?
“Your Grace. Weren’t you not supposed to bite me?”
A low voice sounds right beside my neck.
“I haven’t bitten you yet.”
…Yet?
It looks like the violation I’ll have to write in my report is going to be left on my neck.
