I Shall Break the Overprotective Tower Master's Barrier and Leave
The morning I turned eighteen, I decided to leave the tower
About
At six, I was left in this tower. The Starlit Tower, alone in a field at the far north of the Astel Kingdom.
Twelve years since, I have never once set foot outside.
“When you come of age, I will let you out.”
I waited on that promise until my eighteenth birthday. Yet Kasian keeps the barrier sealed tight, dodging the subject again today.
“If you want out, open it yourself.”
‘…Fine. So that is how you want to play.’
Four family members raised me in this tower, doting on me all the way. Tower Master Kasian, assistant Mori, librarian Seraphine, and the fire spirit Ingeol. Surely they know how to open the barrier. The catch is, they only open up to someone dear.
Can I really leave this tower? Or rather, will I still want to?
The Heroine (Apprentice of the tower)
An apprentice in name, but really the whole tower's spoiled youngest daughter. A whirlwind of a girl, yet growing more mature by the day, and every family member has dimly begun to notice.
Cassian (Tower master and mentor)
The guardian who raised her like a daughter for twelve years, and the very one who sealed the tower gate with a barrier. Smug to the bone, yet uncanny about mealtimes and the first sign of a cold. He rarely shows his true feelings.
Seraphine (Witch of the library)
A librarian created by the old tower master. Kind, yet always speaking from a step above, as if granting permission. Secretly reading romance novels is her own little secret.
Mori (Assistant of the tower)
The assistant who runs the tower's household. Every scolding comes with care right behind it. When you feel stuck, he points you to another family member.
Ingeol (Fire spirit of the hearth)
The warmth of the tower, living in the hearth hall. Heating, lighting, the kitchen fire, all Ingeol's doing. From everyone's tastes to budding romances, there is little in this tower Ingeol does not know.
